General information about the ATV race |
EventHUNT-THE-WOLF-2012 is an ATV- and Hard-Enduro-Motocycle-race event taking place ca. 50 km away of Cluj-Napoca in Transylvania. The race includes very technical sections, steep ascents and descents, mud, water, rocks, narrow tracks. Fantastic diversity! GPS orientation in the category Extreme, map orientation in all other 4-wheel classes, and marked tracks for Motocycles. Where a full ATV/Quad or Moto tank is not sufficient for the days tracks, the organizers provide the (drivers!) gas along the road.
Date: 25-28. April 2012, from Wednesday afternoon to Saturday afternoon. Location: Baisoara Munte – Skiresort, jud. Cluj-Napoca, Transylvania, Romania, 1 km before end of the paved road at Hotel Pensiune Andrea. Parking: Guarded parking area directly at starting area. Accommodation: Direct hotel booking or by the organizers by April 20th, 2012. The organizers book accommodation for participants in advantageous conditions - Andrea Pension:

Conditions: In all classes a chest-, knee-, elbow-, eyes-protection gear, as well as helmet, gloves and strong shoework are mandatory! Mandatory is also to have a charged mobile phone along on tracks and personal number must have been given to organizers. Mandatory:
Offroad tires are recommanded for all categories.
Details on Garmin GPS: 60cx and 62 models with USB connector are highly recommended. No objections from a technical point of view to the following models either:
ENDURO LICENSE Because the event is organized with the approval of Motorcycle Romanian Federation (FRM), the foreign pilots must have an ENDURO LICENSE from their country. The license can be freed at the event. To get the license you need a medical visit and medical insurance. The license paid to the FRM representatives is 15 euro and the medical insurance is 10 euro. The medical visit can be done at any sportive clinic from your town or at the place of the event, but every racer must have also a recent EKG (Electrocardiograph). Fees and registration deadlinesParticipation fee: 160 EUR/person if registration and payment until 31 March 2012, at 12 o’clock (mail or fax the bank transfer!); 200 Euro/person if registration and payment beginning April 1st, 2012. No exceptions. Registration is not possible on the spot in Baisoara. 50% of the fee is paid back in case of withdrawal up to April 15th. If withdrawal occurs after April 15th no registrations fee will be paid back. The fee includes: The entire organization and all the necessary information to take part to all stages, prizes for the first 3 of each category and a souvenir to all participants; snacks and tea for all participants where possible; Saturday evening program, classifications, race insurance. The fee does not include: everything else. Minimum: The ATV Open, ATV Extreme and Quad races will take place only if a minimum of 10 racers register in each category until April 1st. The categories in which less than 10 racers register until that date will be canceled. The Side-by-Side category is held only if a minimum of 5 racers register in this category. Otherwise the category will be canceled. If one of the categories doesn’t have the minimum number of participants, but the riders still want to race, they will get the track of another category, they will be timed and a ranking will be made, but the awarding ceremony will not be held for them.

PrizesThe prizes for one category are available only if 10 racers register for that category. ATV EXTREME: 1st Prize: 400 Euro worth of products, 2nd Prize: 200 Euros worth of products, 3rd 100 Euros worth of products. ATV OPEN: 1st Prize: 400 Euros worth of products, 2nd Prize: 200 Euros worth of products, 3rd Prize: 100 Euro worth of products. QUAD: 1st Prize: 400 Euros worth of products, 2nd Prize: 200 Euro worth of products, 3rd Prize: 100 Euros worth of products. SIDExSIDE: 1st Prize: 200 Euro worth of products. Each participant will get a medal as award and souvenir!
ResponsibilityAttendance at the event will take place under everybody’s own responsibility. The organizers disclaim any responsibility for the physical and material damages caused by the participants. Each participant signs a statement with which he accepts responsibility for any kind of damages caused to himself or to others. For the infant racers the parents must sign this declaration on personal responsibility. The organizers reserve the right to change the tracks and program of the event at any time without notice for any reason. |
