Please read them Rules 2012Rules may be subject of changing HUNT-THE-WOLF-12 is a 4-day- racing. The Race is part of the Primul-ATV-Hard-Enduro-ATV-Championship (www.primul-atv-magazin.ro/cupa), shortened PAM-CHAMPIONSHIP, therefore all rules of the Championship apply. I. General:1. there is NO disqualification except: a. for not respecting orders given by organizers. b. for not helping each other in case of accidents. IT IS NECESSARY: each racer HAS to stop and ask if the casualty (the person who is in case of need) is ok. If help is needed, you have to help and call for help. Helping time will show as standing time on GPS and will be subtracted. ATTENTION: people in state of shock use to deny the necessary aid. You have to verify the physical integrity of the person who might be in case of need. c. for incorrect or unfair behavior towards other people, hikers, race organizers or any other individuals. d. for irregular trash disposal. ANY kind of trash HAS TO BE trashed into special bags or cans. e. for racing without mandatory safety equipment: helmet, chest-, elbow, knee-, foot protector. f. for a delay of more than 15 minutes at START. Each delayed minute will be penalized with 2 minutes. 2. The winner has the best overall time. 3. In the category EXTREME there is no team evaluation: each racer competes for himself. In the OPEN category you can race in teams. 4. No ATV/Quad/UTV-exchange allowed during racing days. Repairs can be done anytime, but no stop time given for repairs. 5. Race 5.1. EXTREME 5.1.1. In EXTREME the starting with an adequate GPS-device is mandatory. Who races with more than one GPS has to declare this to the organizers. IF the first GPS will fail, the second one will not be taken into consideration if not declared at start. All GPS-devices must be given to the organizers IMMEDIATELY at the FINISH, even before changing clothes. Otherwise all the data will not be taken into consideration. 5.1.2. Along the specified track are numbered GPS-points. a. GPS-points must be reached in correct order (1, 2, 3, ...); b. GPS-points must be reached in correct driving direction given by the track on the last 50 meters before and after the checkpoint; max. 45 degrees deviation allowed after entering in the 50 m circle (circle of allowance) around the GPS-point. c. The marked and numbered GPS-points must be approached to a minimum of 50 meters (the 50 m allowance circle), otherwise they count as "missed". For each "missed" GPS-point there will be 30 min. of penalty. d. Between the numbered GPS-points racers can drive wherever they want except backwards on the given track! ATTENTION: risk of accident! e. If the GPS fails or gets broke after 50% of the race-day-track, then at least 2 witnesses are needed to confirm the common reaching of further checkpoints. Condition: all 3 racers reach the further checkpoints together and the 2 GPS-devices of the witnesses save the data correctly. 5.2. OPEN 5.2.1. There are no specified tracks. But possible tracks and checkpoints are marked on detailed maps. All checkpoints must be reached by ATV, no matter from which direction. Each missed checkpoint will be penalized with 2 hours. 5.2.2. It is recommended to start in a team. The cell phone, which has to be fully charged and with available credit, MUST be taken along. 5.2.3. Single racers MUST start with a GPS-TRACKER (NOT to be confused with a handhold-GPS). The GPS-Tracker can be borrowed for 30 Euro from the organizers or it can be bought for 50-100 Euros. The tracker is sending constantly a GPS-signal, which makes possible the finding of "lost" racers in the mountain forest. 5.2.4. at all checkpoints you must take a picture of the subject shown on "checkpoint specific picture" given by organizer, showing the subject+all team members+all team ATVs+dumb of fotografer. No valid picture equals to checkpoint not reached. 5.2.5. at all checkpoints one in the team should sms the organizer (0040-730-909968) the number of the checkpoint you are standing in that moment (security reasons!). For every sms send to organizors by 1 team member from each checkpoint the team gets 3 min bonus-time. 5.2.6. A team is a team from start to end of each day. All teammembers must stick togehter from start to end of day, no matter if only 1 person gets hurt or only 1 maschine has a break down. Only the next day a team can dissolve and ex-team-members start with other teams. The dissolved team will be disqualified. Whoever leaves his team prior rescue by organizers or prior reaching the finish line togheter with all team members is immediatly disqualified. A teammember can leave his team only to call the organizers by phone for help (and inform them on GPS postition). Then all team members have to follow organizer's orders. Whoever does not follow organizer's orders in a situation like this will not be allowed to start in Hunt-the-Wolf in the future (except after written plausible explanation). 5.2.7. Open riders will get a certain amount of points to reach every day, every day in a different area of greater Baisoara. The points to reach have a value, expressed in points. The racers time is limited to a given hour in the afternoon, until they can collect points at free choice. Harder to get points have a higher value. After the given hour no reached point is valid anymore, all racers must race "home". Arrival time counts in case more racers collected same amount of points. In this case the faster racer gets a bonus of 1 point for each 2 min he was faster. 6. The race ENDS Saturday afternoon. But each race-day ends at an indicated hour. The reaching of the numbered GPS-points after the indicated hour will not be considerate anymore. Essential: leave the track and take easiest and fastest way home along the "escape lines". 7. MAXIMUM of PENALTY per DAY: 3h if finishing the race before driving the half of the race-day-track. 2h if finishing the race between the half of the race-day-track and the finish line. 1h if reaching the finish line. In case of getting lost, missed/failed GPS-points or other cases: according to the schema above the maximum penalties will be added up on the time of the fastest racer. 8. ATV Extreme: The fastest race-time of the day is the shortest time of the OVERALL-race time. This means that it is the time which is the shortest time either with or without penalties. Any further disagreements will be decided by the race directors, Mihai Concioiu (+4 0730-909.955) and Oliver Renzler (+4 0730-909.968), after having talked to all involved persons. 9. Slow down to max 50 km/h in villages, from first house of village to last house of village near road. 10 min penalty for speeding. GPS checking of speed! Slow down near animals, espescially near horses or when passing or crossing horse-cars. Speed checks by GPS after complains. 1 h penalty if the case. 10. 4 h penalty for not showing up at start after 1 h after start is given to racer not showing up, if not anounced to organizers. 3 h penalty every day for not going to start if announced and explained to organizers minimum 1 h before start of first starter. 11. 2 h in Extreme penalty for all racers missing more then 2 consecutive checkpoints, no matter where. In extreme you should take down all kind of ATV-boxes before start or best before coming to the race. Otherwise the box might get crashed on narrow spots. RESPONSIBILITYRacers participate at their own risk. The organizers decline any responsibility for damages caused by racers to others or their own property or body. All racers must sign a declaration to proof their own responsibility on all damages caused. The organizers have the right to change tracks any time. The racers acknowledge the fact, that ATV/quad driving can be very dangerous, ATV/quad-races can be even more dangerous or fatal. |
