Safety

Transylvania is a safe area for travelling. At least as safe as most of the western countries. There are no such things as bandit or police jams. Police control is almost exclusively done by radar devices. Only some policemen (and customs officials) are corrupt, which means that in case of a real (!) law violation by the driver, little payments are often accepted.

The population is very kind and – apart from regular safety precautions - there is no danger of being mugged. There is also no danger for women in Romania. During the HUNT-THE-WOLF event there will be police forces for ATV safety, vehicles and trailers.
