Hard Enduro Race Rules

Rules will be final after March 31st 2012


RULES 2012

Rules may be subject of changing.


I. ORGANIZER: So-moto-racing

II. CATEGORIES and starting numbers

  1. A-Profi/Experts Category – starting numbers from 1 to 100 (background color YELLOW)
  2. B-Medium/Hobby Category – starting numbers from 101 to 200 (background color RED)


III. REGISTRATION

1. Participation fee

The fee is 80 EUR/person if registration and payment are done until 13 April 2012, at 12 o’clock (mail the bank transfer!); 100 EUR/person if registration and payment are done beginning April 14th, 2012. No exceptions.

The onsite registration in Baisora (start area), on April 20th until 16.00 o’clock, is also possible. But the tax fee is 120 Euro.

2. Enduro license

The race is a Cup in the FRM competition calendar,  therefore all racers must have an Enduro license from their own countries. The license can also be freed at the event. To get the license you need a medical visit and medical insurance. The license paid to the FRM representatives is 15 euro and the medical insurance is 10 euro. The medical visit can be done at any sportive clinic from your town or at the place of the event (30 Euro), but every racer must have also a recent EKG (Electrocardiograph).

After the confirmation of the registration at the start area, all racers will introduce the motorcycles into the closed park without starting the engine. The same after the finish of the first race day. At the confirmation of the registration in Baisoara there will be done also the technical inspection and the racer numbers will be given by the organizer.


IV. THE TRACK

1. A-Profi/Experts Category - the track is approximately ... km for each racing day.

2. B-Medium/Hobby Category - the track is approximately ... km for each racing day.


V. CLASSIFICATION

Special tracks will not be timed. It will be considered only the start time and the time at the arrival gate. This time alone will count for the classification.

Those who abandon the first day can race the second day, but they will not count for the general classification.

The start order in the first day will be established according with the classification of the trial from Friday evening.


VI. GENERAL

1. There is NO disqualification except:

a. for not respecting orders given by organizers.

b. for not helping each other in case of accidents. IT IS NECESSARY: each racer HAS to stop and ask if the casualty (the person who is in case of need) is ok. If help is needed, you have to help and call for help. Helping time will show as standing time on GPS and will be subtracted. ATTENTION: people in state of shock use to deny the necessary aid. You have to verify the physical integrity of the person who might be in case of need.

c. for incorrect or unfair behavior towards other people, hikers, race organizers or any other individuals.

d. for irregular trash disposal.  ANY kind of trash HAS TO BE trashed into special bags or cans.

e. for racing without mandatory safety equipment: helmet, chest-, elbow, knee-, foot protector.

f. for a delay of more than 15 minutes at START.

2. The winner has the best overall time.

3. There is no team evaluation.

4. No Moto-exchange is allowed during racing days. Repairs can be done anytime, but no stop time will be given for it.



VII. PENALTY

  1. Missing a checkpoint, going on the track of the other category, arriving at the checkpoint from another direction than the direction of the track = 100 min. penalty
  2. Any cut of the track, noticed by the referee or more racers who will make a written appeal, brings 200 min penalty to the racer.


In the checkpoints with referees each racer must stop and leave at the sign of the referees so that he can be registered.

The maximum hour of arrival for each Check Point will be displayed on the notice board (next to the registration office) or will be communicated during the briefing of the race day. Racers who will not get in time to one of the Check Points will be taken out of the track by the referees.


VIII. TECHNICAL AND OTHER INFORMATION

Racers cannot enter in the closed park without their race badge at any time of the race.

Motorcycles must be in good technical condition, all components of the braking system and engine must be in perfect driving conditions. The enduro and cross tires are mandatory.

The racers must wear helmet when they are on the motorcycle with the engine on, at all times during the race. Any exception will be sanctioned with 20 min penalty.

You must announce at the first Check Point any irregularity or accident which may have happened on the track

In case of accident or malfunction of the motorcycle do not divert from the track, in which case you would be harder to find, harder to be helped and recovered by the organizers.

Getting the motorcycle out from the closed park to the start is done with the engine off, otherwise you get 20 min penalty.

The motorcycle can be taken out from the closed park beside from getting it to the start only with the approval of the Race Director.

The needed repairing will be done only in the dedicated special place: called Service Point.


IX. REFUELING

All pilots must bring their own gas in tanks to Baisoara/starting area, since the closest gas station is 23 km away!

The refueling points are positioned at about half of the tracks, being called TANK POINT and being signaled accordingly.

The fuel is brought by the racers at the briefings of the race days in cans or containers with the race numbers written on them.


Caution! Please don’t leave gear and personal goods un-supervised, organizers do not assume any responsibility for them. Only the motorcycles in the closed park will be supervised and guarded.


X. PRIZES

A-Profi/Experts Category

I place – 400 Euro

II place – 200 Euro

III place – 100 Euro

B-Medium/Hobby Category

I place – 400 Euro

II place – 200 Euro

III place – 100 Euro


Prizes will be in products, not in money. For example: I place (400 Euro) will receive an Airoh Aviator Helmet.

Each participant will get a medal as award and souvenir!


For all not mentioned disagreements the race director decides after having talked to all involved persons.


Responsibility

Attendance at the event will take place under everybody’s own responsibility. The organizers disclaim any responsibility for the physical and material damages caused by the participants. Each participant signs a statement with which he accepts responsibility for any kind of damages caused to himself or to others. For the infant racers the parents must sign this declaration on personal responsibility.

The organizers reserve the right to change the tracks and program of the event at any time without notice for any reason.
